Description:

The Audubon Society of Rhode Island's Environmental Education Center features natural history museum and an aquarium and offers a number of educational nature programs for school groups and families. Visitors may peer inside a life-sized model of a right whale, peruse the teeming organisms inhabiting a tide pool, or stroll through the fresh and saltwater marshes of the surrounding 28-acre McIntosh Wildlife Refuge. This center lies four miles north of downtown, near the Bristol Golf Club.

Hours of Operation:

Open May - Sep: daily 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.; Oct - Apr: Mon. - Sat. 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.; Sun. noon - 5:00 p.m.

Adults $6; Seniors (65+) $5; Children (4-12) $4; Children under 4 are free.
